March 12th I took a trip to Fairbanks, Alaska to visit Ben. I had lots of fun but it went way too fast and before I knew it, I was on a plane home again on Sunday the 22nd. Of course that is when Mount Redoubt decided to erupt! My flight out of Anchorage was canceled! The airport told us that it was "an act of God" so they couldn't help us with anything. I am not used to flying so I was terrified! There was a very sweet older lady who must have noticed how scared I was, because she asked if I was on my own and told me that we would figure out what to do together. We found two other ladies who were also on there own and we split Hotel rooms. I ended up having three flights canceled and I didn't leave Anchorage until Tueday afternoon. It was an interesting adventure.
